Practice Yoga With Swamiji - BANDHAS - Explanation of the Bandha
Posted by admin in Other Techniques on May 31, 2010
HH Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji is founder of Yoga in Daily Life system. BANDHAS Bandha means to lock, close-off, to stop. In the practice of a Bandha, the energy flow to a particular area of the body is blocked. When the Bandha is released, this causes the energy to flood more strongly through the body with an increased pressure. There are four types of Bandhas: •Mula Bandha - Anal Lock •Uddiyana Bandha - Lifting of the Diaphragm •Jalandhara Bandha - Chin Lock •Maha Bandha - Practice of all three Bandhas at the same time Learn more about the Bandhas Benefit and Caution www.yogaindailylife.org More from Swami Maheshwarananda and Yoga in Daily Life www.yogaindailylife.org http www.facebook.yogaindailylife.org Excerpt from the lecture in Vienna 29 05 2010

Posted by admin in Other Techniques on March 28, 2010
Relates to blog post to come grimmly2007.blogspot.com A run through of the Vinyasa Krama Asymmetric series from Srivatsa Ramaswami’s Complete book of Vinyasa Yoga. this is just the right side. Ramaswami recommends doing one side and then the other or, if short of time, alternating sides after each subroutine. Some mistakes here, asanas missed, a couple added and some not quite right. I’ll list them in the blog post, but perhaps it serves as a general outline. Later I hope to add annotations with the asana names.
